Lunar New Year Tutorial

Good evening everyone!

Lunar New Year is only a few hours away and I am pretty sure most of you are stuffed from the feast! And don't feel down if you did not receive that much red pocket as you would hope because I did not receive any at all! So next time you are thinking "damn, I only got -insert amount here-" just remind yourself that there many people out there who do not receive any at all :) 

And to get myself into this festive atmosphere, I created a makeup look using the traditional colours of red and gold. Usually, this combination reminds me of Iron man (anyone else?) so to add a little more 'asianess' to it, the two winged liners reminds me of bird wings- and for some odd reason, birds reminds me of Asia.

Music Monday - Lorde

Hello everyone!

To help myself with my weekly post, I think starting a Music Monday series will help me with updating my blog a bit more (although I had posted this a day late, opps!). Pretty much self explanatory, where I post some song(s) that had been on my mind that day or week! 

So this week is all about Lorde. Yes, the 17 year old from New Zealand! There is something about her music that is really eerie yet very calming..

Bra Size for the Petites!

Hello everyone!

Had you ever wondered why it was soo hard to find the correct bra size? Because I did. The problem for me was that most stores stocked 10A as their smallest sizing. Being a petite girl I am, I knew that band size 10 was too large for me but where in the world can I find a size 8 undergarment? I went into Big W, Myer, Bras 'n' Things and so on for the past year but never found any stores that stocked anything smaller.

Until.. a week before Christmas, I took my mum out shopping and she decided to have a look at Cotton On Body sales. There on the racks, I saw- 8A, 8B, 8C all over. At that very moment I was filled with excitement but only thought it was just Christmas stock. Few weeks into the New Years, I decided to visit the store again to check out the sizings and to my surprise, they had plenty of size 8 available.

So, for those who had been wearing size 10 undergarments and feel like the band is too large, head over to your nearest Cotton On Body and try out their size 8! Although I feel like their quality can be improve.. I believe that wearing the correct bra size is more important than the actual quality- as this gives us ladies an excuse to buy more, hehe..

D.I.Y Acne Mask & Cleaner + Tips!

To start off 2014, the first video I decided to film was the D.I.Y Acne Cleanser and Mask. Living in Australia, we tend to celebrate the New Years with the heat and we all know that the hot temperature causes the body to sweat which also produces more oils-  resulting into unwanted pimples.

When it comes to treating pimples/acne, not all method will work. Everyone is different and some products/method will work for some but may work for others. So the only way to really find out what works for you is to experiment.

Here are some tips that I found worked for me:
- Instead of rubbing the acne cream onto the affected area, pat the product in instead
- The rubbing motion causes friction which can cause irritation
- Only apply acne cream onto the affected area as it is made to dry out the pimples
- Hence, when applied to an unaffected area, it will cause the area to produce more oils
- Hot showers can cause body acne in some individuals
- If you are using an acne cream/gel and see no effect, either try using it twice a day or use one with a higher percentage of Benzoyl Peroxide

And here is a very affordable and easy D.I.Y that you can try!

Cleanser :
- Handful of oats
- Warm water

Mask: (Measurements for the face mask)
- 1 Tablespoon of Oats
- 2 Tablespoon of Water
- A squirt of Honey

Although the countdown to New Year is over for most of us, I know that I got friends from the States who are still counting down the hours to 2014!
