Sleek i-Divine Palette in Acid

What is up Beauties! If you followed me on Instagram, then you may have noticed this palette! It was a mix between the Acid and the V1 and to be honest, I may have to buy the V1 just to compare! Unfortunately, this palette did not come with a plastic sleeve with the different shade names.

The palette consist of 8 mattes, 3 shimmers and 1 pearl. I thought the top fuchsia colour was matte when swatch but when applied on the lids, it gave a pearlescent finish!

From the arm swatch, I was a little disappointed due to the colours not being as bright/neon as I would like. Beside from the two blue shades, silver and black, I had to swatch the other shades twice. The neon shades are a little patchy but not noticeable on the lids. I saw swatches of this palette from other beauty bloggers and the pigmentation looked amazing! So it must be the skin colour of my arm since it is fairly light compared to my face.. Because of this, I decided to test the colours on my eyes.

I knew I had to try and use all the colours in one look. I was absolutely astonish. The pigmentation on the eyes were definitely better than on the arms. On both eyes, I had applied UD eye primer and on my right eye (left in photo) I applied a NYX jumbo Pencil and Milk to see if there was any difference. From the photo, they look the same but if I were to look closely in the mirror, the one with the white base has better colour pay off.

As for longevity, the eyeshadows lasted me at least 10 hours! After my shift, the colours still look freshly applied on the eye with the white base. Where as the other eye, the colour had started to 'grey' out. Usually with all the other eyeshadow palettes, my natural eye makeup look does tend to 'grey' out when I don't use a primer but since this eye look is more colourful, it is pretty much expected. Plus, everyone uses a white base when it comes to a colourful eye makeup right? :P

Do you own this palette, what are your thoughts?

Sleek Blush By 3 Swatches

What is up everyone! I know I had been MIA lately but I promise I will post more from now on! This morning, I woke up to a package that had been left outside my front door. I had been very anxious on whether my Sleek products would get delivered in time for Christmas since I had ordered it after the scheduled Christmas deadline. But thank goodness it did! I had ordered a few Blush by 3 palettes as well as some i-Divine palettes which I will do another post on to keep you guys out of the bore!

LACE: Crochet, Guipure, Chantilly

First up from the bunch is Lace. Lace was the first one I had gravitated towards to from other online swatches. Although the colours are indeed pretty, the middle shade Guipure has quite a lot of gold sheen compared to the pink. This made it quite difficult to work with as it looked like I had gold speckles on my cheeks instead of a subtle glow.

CALIFORN.I.A: Newport Peach, The Surf, OC

Californ.i.a consist of all cream blushes, unlike the other three palettes. Newsport and OC are very similar in shades. Newsport leans more towards a barbie pink whereas OC is more of a salmon/coral shade.

FLAME: Furnace, Bon Fire, Moten

A little hesitate at first when I added this to my cart due to all the reds. But the colour actually looks quite nice when used with a soft hand. Not too sure how often I will use Bon Fire on myself, but we shall see!

SUGAR: Turbinado, Muscovado, Demerara

Sugar is definitely my favourite out of the four. These shades are perfect for the colder months, so for my beauties living in the colder climates, this would be amazing! Whether you go for a natural or bold look, this one is it! I still can not get over how pretty Turninado looks... ahhhh~~~

Overall, I would definitely recommend trying at least one of these blushes out (beside Lace). Most of the swatches above are from just one swatch (beside flame which I wanted to see how it would look with two). For those living in Australia, I would suggest buying it directly from their website as you will save money, even with the currency conversion and shipping. Plus if you spend over $40, you get free shipping! Who does not like that? To give you an idea on delivery time, I had placed my order on 2nd of December and received it today on the 17th. I hope this post was somehow helpful to you and thank you for taking the time to read my post!

Had you try the Sleek Blush by 3 yet? Which one was your favourite?!

S&R: Klara Cosmetics Kiss Proof Lips

Hello lip junkies!

I am not too sure if many of you had heard about Klara Cosmetics but I had recently purchased quite a few shades from their signature line - Kiss Proof Lips. There are 11 shades in total and I must admit, I went crazy during their Easter Sale and bought 6 of their shades. They are a full coverage matte lipstick that are suppose to last up to 24 hours. Lets get on with the swatches so I can tell you my thoughts!

05 - Flaming Red
06 - Vintage Burgundy
08 - Neon Tangerine
09 - Watermelon Kiss
10 - Madgenta
11 - Psycho Violet

Gorgeous shades right?! I am very happy with the shades I had chosen because I was not able to find many swatches on the internet. And that was the main reason which led me with six of them in the end - so I can show you guys!!

But as you can see, Neon Tangerine is a pretty chalky on my lips. But I believe I received a bad batch because I saw a swatch another blogpost and it looks gorgeous on her- not chalky at all! And as for Pyscho Violet, I noticed that there is an uneven application when the product actually sets. But keep in mind though because in person the application does look even!

I did however, regret getting these two shades because the orange was too chalky and bright for my liking and the purple was not as dark as I thought it would be. But that did not stop me as I began to experiment with these two shades. I wanted to make sure I made use out of them, as the products are pretty pricey. What I did to make it more wearable was created my own shade. Yep, you read that right - you can mix the products together and create your personal shade!

08 Neon Tangerine + 05 Flaming Red
11 Pyscho Violet + 05 Vintage Burgundy

That looks soo much better does it not?! I love the fact that I was able to make those two colours work. So, that is one solution solved but I still had one more I needed to experiment with.

From the photos, you can clearly see that my lips are not thin. So matte tends to work best on me compare to a gloss. But I am a daily lip balm user and we all know that matte formula lip products tends to dry out the lips. So I applied my lip balm on top to keep it moisturise but I noticed that the product became transferrable. What I did not notice though (until a week later after experimenting with it again) was that although it transfers, my lips still looks very bright as if I had just apply it on! And do not worry, the product had lasted me 8+ hours even though I had patted my lips many times when I went out to eat with my hubby!

10 Madgenta + Baby Lips in Berry Crush
10 Madgenta + Blistex Ultra Lip Balm

Another thing to keep in mind is that your lip balm can change the finish of the actual product. If you are going for a glossy look then you can easily apply Vasaline on top (or in my case my Baby Lips in Berry Crush). But I find that it is too glossy for my liking so instead I use Blistex Ultra Lip Balm which gives just the right amount of shine!

One coat is all you need for these kiss proof lips. And the best part? They are indeed kiss proof! If you do tend to apply lip balm on top, just make sure you pat your lips dry before you do any smooching with your other half! Another positive thing about these lipsticks are their setting time. You have enough time to apply and fix up any mistakes and then give it an extra few seconds and you should be good to go!

What are your thoughts on the Kiss Proof Lips? And which shades are you loving? :)

Easter Show: ELLE Show Bag

Had you ever wondered around and was overwhelmed with which show bag to get? There was a few that I had wanted, but it was all basically the same concept - a few magazines, travel and sample size products, vouchers and whatnot. I ended up with the Elle Show Bag since I found the tote quite cute. The Women's Weekly was quite nice also but the products in both show bags were too similar, so I felt like it was not worth the money if I had purchased both.

The Elle Show Bag comes in an open black tote bag with white stripes. The base of the tote is also white - It's ok, I felt the same way when I found out too.. Another downside would have to be how it is an open tote, I was hoping for it to have a zipper - just incase I drop something when I go out!

Lets have a look on what is inside the bag. If you had bought these kind of show bags before, where the show bag is being put together on the spot - then you would know that you may get a few things missing or if you lucky, extra!

Shall we start off with the food?

- Lindt Extra Creamy Chocolate
- Fantastic Delite Curls
- Nerada Tea Bags
- L'OR Espresso Capsule
- Balance Cleanse Water
- Lipton Sparkling Tea (drank it on the day, sorry!)

Beauty products shall be next!! Honestly, I can not wait to try these out!

- SIDS Baby Wipes
- White Glo Toothpaste (travel size)
- Palmer's Cocoa Butter Natural Bronze Body Lotion (travel size)
- Vasaline Ultimate Anti-ageing lotion (travel size)
- Garnier Ultra Lift Firming Cream (sample size)
- Dermeze Body wash/Facial cleanser (sample size)
- Joico Colour Shampoo, Conditioner & Finish Spray (travel pack)
- Designer Brands Black Kohl Eye Pencil

Lucky last category.. I shall name this miscellaneous!

- Ok! Magazine
- Shop Till You Drop Magazine
- Harper's Bazaar magazine
- Elle Magazine
- Sunglasses (they gave me two, but same style)
- Starshots Photography voucher $520 worth
- Taronga Zoo Vouchers (Shop, Annual Pass etc.)
- $10 ThreadandStyle voucher
- A chance to win survey

If you went to the Easter show this year, which show bags did you end up purchasing? :)

Easter Show: Food Adventure #6

How can you go to the Easter Show and not buy anything to eat?! Since my boyfriend and I went on my last day of fastening, I was still on my pescetarian diet for the day. I have to admit, the hot dogs and meat pie smelt soo good that day! Hibson knew I was pretty tempted, so he decided to go 'meat' free with me also! But with one exception since he wanted to try it which I didn't mind. :)

So lets begin the food shots!

Large Choc Dipped Strawberry - I remember this was expensive ..
Chips on Sticks with Special Mix!
Left: Lemonade Middle: Hot Dog on a Stick Right: Cheese on a Stick - $5 each
Tempura Barramundi Burger with Salad & Asian Colesaw - $10
OYSTERS!!!! At Woolworths Fresh Food Dome
Top to bottom: Hubba Bubba, Cookies & Cream, Choc mint - $7
Coffee Espresso, Green Tea and Stracciatella (which was at the bottom)  - $7

Out of all the food we consumed that day, the chips on sticks, oysters and ice cream (or was it gelato?) had to be our favourite! The strawberries were a lot more sour then we anticipated it to be, and my sour face sure brought a big smile on Hibson's face.. For the price I honestly do not think it was worth it.

The Cheese on Stick was ok in my opinion, the first bite was amazing but after that.. I felt a little sick. And as for the burger, it was not that bad to be honest. But for $10, I am pretty sure they could of added sauce  - the only sauce we got was from the colesaw - thank goodness the colesaw was there or it would of been completely plain!

What was your favourite food at the Easter show? And was there one that you regret trying?

Easter Show 2014

Easter is not complete without going to the Easter Show. Believe it or not, this is only my second year attending this event and I cannot wait to go back! Despite my age, you would of thought my attendance is a lot higher, right?

What was awesome about this year though was that the purchase of Easter Show tickets were a lot more accessible as you were able to get purchase them at Woolworths! And it was a bonus how I got $4 off my ticket by purchasing it there also - scoreeee!

We started off the day with a walk down Olympic Boulevard towards the Kid's Carnival area and there we saw a cute little minion in the black and white maiden outfit! Although we tried to score that plushie, we ended up with a red hand on a stick toy instead. We were disappointed at first but the hand sure came in handle as we started to lightly hit each other with it!

Followed after, we stumbled upon The Barn. Last year, we did not enter this area because we thought it was not part of the event. But this year after we read the map, we realised that this was where all the animals were! Last year, I was really excited to see the animals but did not get to see any beside one. Let me show you the animals that we saw that day!

Sheep
Goat
Chicken
Goose
Little chickens!!
The prettiest cows I had ever seen. They look like eeyore!
ALPACA!!

Aren't they gorgeous! I felt bad for them as they were locked up, but if there were to run free, I know it would be a chaotic.. We also saw a lot of beautiful horses but I was unable to take a photos of them because I was not able to get close enough to them.. (I think they were preparing for a show).

Another excitement we had was for the rides! We went on The Taipan, The Pirate water one which I do not know the name of and a few other as well! The one I was most excited was The Hangover - why? Because Hibson does not like to go on scary rides and when he said "that looks kind of fun.." I literally took that chance to get him onto the ride! I had not laughed that hard in awhile!!
"OMG BABE, I'M SCAREDD!"
"ARGHHHHH"
"NOT THIS AGAIN!" (Referring to the ride when it went 360)
"I HATEEEEEEE THISSSSS"

I am done. I have to take him on another scary ride next time we go. Thank you hunny for the lovely awesome day at the Easter Show this year! I can not wait for the future Easter Show to come! Hope you all had an amazing Easter as I did and Happy Easter everyone!

Our Favourite Vegan Restaurant!

Hey guys, following on with the topic of my 'no meat' diet from my last post, I would like to share with you (and also Hibson's) favourite vegan restaurant!

During my past lents, we had went to the same vegetarian restaurant over and over again. Don't get me wrong, their dishes were delicious but this year, we had decided to explore other vegetarians restaurant in the area. Did we find our favourite one? Yes we did! I believe we had went to all the vegan/vegetarian restaurants in Cabramatta - well beside one.. But I have to say, Duy Linh had won our taste buds!

Duy Linh is a vegan restaurant associated on Hill St, Cabramatta. Upon our visit, Hibson ordered the traditional Phở Bò (beef noodle soup), the man recommended us their Phở Gà Da Giòn (beef noodle soup with crispy chicken) instead which was not on the menu. I was a little skeptical at first - because I don't like the combination of phở and chicken. I had only ate Phở Ga once and never tried it again afterwards - but he insisted and gave it a try. And the result? He loved it!! Visits after visits, I had lost count of how many times we had ordered this!

Phở  Da Giòn - $10

Another favourite of ours would have to be one of their entrée! From the photo below, it is the bottom plate! I forgot what it was called, but it was something along the lines off.. Soy squid..? Don't worry, if you are keen to try it, there is a photo of it on the menu!

Top: Fried Soy Bacon Bottom: Soy Squid? - $4 something each

Beside from our top two favourite dishes, I would also recommend trying their: Bún cà ri (curry noodles), bánh canh cua and one of their hủ tiếu! I forgot which one I tried but it was really good!

To come and think of it, all the dishes we had tried were delicious! Most of my recommendation were basically all the mains that we had tried so far! You would not be disappointed with their food as well as their extra friendly service! Good food plus friendly staff - what more can you ask for? Duy Linh would definitely be our go to restaurant from now on, especially on those "what do you want to eat" moments!

What is your favourite restaurant and which dishes would you recommend? :)
